The head of the ASV nail is slightly smaller compared to the RN nail which ensures a very secure and compact fit of the head in the nail hole. As a result, the nail head will be nicely leveled with the ground surface of the shoe after it is driven in the hoof wall. The ASV nail is suited very nicely to most shoes of galloping racehorses. Precision, accuracy, and reliability are key features of all our nails, the error margins of Mustad nails are minimal. To aid in the right placement of the nail, the Mustad M is always placed on the same side.
