The Rapid line of the St. Croix Forge brand is specifically designed with the trotting horse in mind. St. Croix Forge Rapid Fullered Steel gives optimal grip and is a lightweight steel shoe.

The front shoes have a beveled outer edge:
The outer edge is beveled from heel to heel to prevent injuries and to provide increased safety to the horse's feet.
The beveled outer edge also helps reduce the shoe's overall weight.

On the hind shoes, an additional outer edge has been created for Xtra Grip:
The outer rim is higher than the inner rim, which provides additional grip for the horse.

The ST. CROIX Rapid is engineered for farriers who want to combine speed with consistent, dependable results. This rolled shoe follows the natural hoof shape and requires minimal forging, allowing farriers to work faster without compromising accuracy. With optimally placed nail holes and balanced branch proportions, the ST. CROIX RAPID is ideal for everyday shoeing, young horses, and high‑efficiency barns.

Also available in Hard Metal and Winter plain versions.
